He has to pay for play, he shares inside opperations of the judical committes and she puts out to meet his physical needs! When the annoucement was read, I laughed at how pitiful the chain of command is!

Next time you decide to confess your sins to the BOE, ask yourself if your BOE are strong, annointed and appointed by Jehovah or are they "pay for play" elders submitting to their elderette wives?

Thinking about disassociating yourself - STOP!...at least for a moment

(this recent forum post about a letter of disassociation encouraged me to post this new topic.

it's been sitting in my drafts folder for a little while, but now is as good a time as any.).

my suggestion would be, try not to go down the route of disassociation.

@rory-ks That was beautiful! There is no good reason to allow them to label you, more good is accomplished by covert methods than putting a big "Apostate" T-shirt on. The Society has no use for under performing dubs who don't meet their month hour target. How quick the friends would say "Oh, that makes sense, he is disassociating himself, I am afraid to go near him!" vs talking in private about subjects like "The Generation 11.00"... I enjoyed your reasoning and logical analysis for anyone not ready to go Rogue! @ Moshe "Just be a doormat, you'll get to like the rundown feeling- Rory made a sound argument for dubs not sure of their present situation. His approach has a more tactical method, than allowing the Organization to tell friends and family members "Their mentally diseased apostates, hate them!"

Or you can start living the life you were meant to live as a free person, not shackled to the dogmas of the WT org. The more friends and relatives you have in the KH, the less likely it is that any clandestine attempt to extricate them will succeed. I actually had a JW come up and tell me ( in a store ), "I wish I could leave like you did", and he was gone. I'll bet he is still going to the meetings- 20+ years later and hating every day of his life.

Rory has provided a nice outline how to transition out of the Organization on the publishers own terms. "having a whacko JW come up to me, who attends meetings (but hate thems) out of spite or fear would not validate any thinking person's life. "Wow, I was complimented by a nut, I feel much better about my life now!"

Rory is not talking to a community who attends meetings ferverently, he is talking to those who don't attend, rarely attend meetings. If a man or woman is happy without being labled an Apostate, should they hand over their freedom to a entity who will label them evil?

Depressed and anxious individuals would be better off fading away, what worked for you and others who broke out, have brought disaster to others on the fringe of the Organization. Socially ackward members of society who were promised a spiritual paradise, who will we send these people to? The old saying "You Break, You Fix It", Rory's method prevents unnecessary anxiety and ill will, other fading members have contracts with Dubs, or enjoy their physical family (who are still JWs) interaction.

you can cut & paste all the excerpts from articles you want...you can leak all the boe letters, you can pretend to be witnesses and come to the conventions and meetings...but.

no other organization can begin to rival the success and magnitude of the prophecy found in mt 24:14. so apostates....don't waste your time spending countless hours digging up articles and reading books to convince yourself to turn away from jh's organization.

no matter what "evidence" you find you cannot ignore the obvious fulfillment of matthew 24:14.. .

"Greed Is Good!" oh wrong line. Guilt is good! Guilt in the Organization is the oddest beast, only JWs with a heart encounter this emotion. The self-righteous legalistic are the first to condem their fellow brothers and sisters. Depression can be cured by getting out in the Field Ministry more, and devoting your time whole-heartedly to the Slave.

50. Prohibiting fellowship with disassociated persons who show no inclination toward causing dissension.

We don't prohibit, we highly advise against it and will "mark" you, if you do!

51. Showing favoritism by advising innocent victims to "leave it to Jehovah" instead of the elders taking decisive action to deal with some members who have been accused of harmful wrongdoing.

When dealing with a pedophile case, the victim was forced to describe detail by detail of what took place. A heavy handed pedophile who qoutes the Society's teachings, knows the letter or their law, has an unfair advantage of victims. Psychologist don't ask for "dirty details" but the BOE's judical committe has no problem putting little boys and girls into shock, reliving the nightmare in front of the Pedophile. Police have learned as well, how much information to extract from victims, not the Slave, they know how to push the envelope (Victim) off the table (chase them out of the Congregation, while the Pedophile is cleansed by the laying of hands by holy men.) right into the shredder.

52. Ignoring or minimizing clear evidence of child molestation and other abuses simply because only one witness is available to testify against the member accused of such serious wrongdoing

Putting a victim head to head with a former JW elder who knows their loopholes, it's beautiful for the perpetrators!

53. Covering over and hiding damaging facts about the JW organization

Jehovah covered Jonah with the bottle gourd plant, so the heat of the burning Sun would not hurt him! We cover our angry prophets, who fail to learn from Jehovah's mercy, quick to condem others for the same blunders the Org makes!

54. In many cases, neglecting the care of their own sick and elderly members who no longer have the strength and energy to attend all the meetings and to be regular in "field service" as they did for most of their lives

The joy of bringing in a new recruit outweighs the ten who leave from neglect! When my baby sister stopped attending the congregation, nobody came looking for her! We all have stories of brothers and sisters who were never checked on, stopped attending meetings and fell out of the congregation without a blink!

I can't figure this riddle out, why is a potential study worth more time, than Granda Joe whose day's of pioneering are gone? Aunt Mable is left in a rest home to preach about "brotherly love", thank God she has dementia, she's not aware the Brotherhood has not been here for years!

55. Blatantly lying to the public by declaring to news media that members may leave the organization at any time, of their own free will and without any repercussions from the organization

"It's ok to lie to those who don't deserve to know the Truth!"

Anxiety attacks and Door to Door Activity...what have you observed?

during door to door activity in the distant past i have had the experience of witnessing actual anxiety attacks of jw's who could not handle that required preaching on that day and on more than one occasion.. this is what i have seen on multiple occassions.. extreme headaches, upset stomach to the point of vomiting, visible trembling before even approaching the door, arguments with spouses and children, signs of elevated blood pressure, light sensitiity, a total character change, and basicly a complete shut down to the point of limited communication.

yes we all have butterflies in the stomach associated with certain activities but what i am talking about here bodily affliction to the point of physically affecting the individual in some cases for the rest of the day.. these symptoms are obviously present for some newbie to this type of activity but i have observed this from people who have been exposed to this type of work for years.

i think the body just cannot handle the stress anymore, and the marination in the hormones associated with it.

It's unnatural to walk to a strangers house (kids were told by their parents, stay away from strangers) without some weird idea coming into your head. Some territories are worked once a month, but we must remember "We are not working the territory to death, we are working it to life!" a great saying coined by men who don't lift once inch, to help the overburdened and stressed sheep.

The Bible Czar's in New York tell their subjects this, but their words and actions scream the other. "We must support Christ brothers on earth!" conveniently we are not told to seek out the growing Bride class (The fastest growing segment of the Society percentage wise!) and how to aid them.

The writing team are experts at slanting the articles (To the 50 percent who read them) which allow readers to draw the wrong but correct conclusion. This is a conumdrum, draw the wrong conclusion (Matthew 25: applies to the most vocal brothers of Christ, those whom you can see, hear, touch or listen to their opinions via W.T.S) from the writers style, draw their correct ones (The GB are the annoited ones Christ spoke of, obey them as your ruler).

Years later, we can lambaste the readers who drew wrong conclusions (The marginal members thought 1975, we did not write it!) on the "right" ones we wanted them too. If this is ackward to read, it sounded better in my head, than on paper! Help me out with this!

Good question, non-JW would provide a good breather, allow our minds to vary?

Fiction or Non Fiction, one poster mentioned our lack of basic "Textual Critic"knowledge (F.F. Bruce, Dr. Bart Ehrman, Wallace, Metzger, Fredrick Kenyon), anything up for grabs? Foreign translated books into our language of choice, even political books if the group decides.

Nancy came to our Kingdom Hall when I was a child, nobody worshiped her, she did not crave attention the way many of the little Bethelite tyrants desired.

She was a legend for her ability to endure persecution the way "Joseph, son of Jacob did. How nice she did not die, but was allowed to come to the United States to share her humility and strenght of character!
